Happy Wednesday everyone! Yesterday it got down into the 70’s in Austin and I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I am for fall. I love wearing sweaters and jeans, but that’s not quite possible in 90 degree weather. I wish it could stay like this, but it looks like the weather will be getting hot again. I snagged this super soft bell sleeve sweater during the #Nsale and it was still available last week. Now it looks to be sold out, but I did link very similar options. Bell sleeves are the in and moving fast. Also, the notion that white jeans have to be put away after Labor Day is a thing of the past. I really feel like winter white goes so well with grays and makes the outfit a lot more vibrant than black. So for me, I will be mixing in white whenever I can. With Fall approaching, that also means football. We went to the UT game this past Saturday and got to watch an exciting game that went into double overtime. It is so much fun watching games live verses having to watch them in your living room. The excitement and hoopla is very addicting and I always enjoy getting to hang out with friends, as well as meeting new people. Thanks again for stopping by my post.

Can we just get real here for just a minute??!! Posing for pictures is no joke, especially when you are not a trained model. Today, I literally felt like I had never had my picture taken before. I didn’t know how to pose, what to do with my arms, my purse, etc. lol. It was a bit of a calamity, to say the least, so please try and bear with me through this transition. Ok, on to what we are really here to talk about. I am loving this ruched dress from Nordstrom. I had orginally tried it on in the store and thought that it was too summery. Well, I kept thinking about how much I loved it, and realized that it would go great with a cardigan or a leather jacket for fall. It’s still so hot here in Texas, but the slightly lower temps has me thinking of nothing but FALL!! You can pair this with booties, heels, flats and even over the knee boots. The ruching is very forgiving and covers any and all “flaws”, and the fabric is so soft. Check out the link to see the other colors available. Some of the sizes are out of stock, but maybe they will restock soon. I hope everyone had a great weekend. Thanks again for taking the time to stop by my blog!
Fall Staples To Have In Your Closet
Bell Sleeve Sweater: Leith. Cardigan: BP. Booties: Vince Camuto.. Moto Jacket: Blank NYC. Knee High Boots: Sarto by Fanco Sarto. Clutch: Sole Society
We just had a cold front hit Austin! No really, it only got down to 86 degrees, but it felt so good after so many months of 100 plus temps. It has really gotten me excited about fall clothes. Here are some of my top pics for some fall staples to add to your wardrobe. The first up is an adorable bell sleeve sweater. Bell sleeves are all around this season, and I love this lightweight version. Here. Next up is a basic cardigan. A cardigan can completely transform and outfit and this one comes in three different colors. It’s so versatile and the perfect length. Here. You also can’t beat a neutral bootie. This one has such awesome details and I love the cut outs of the sides. Here. When you want to dress up with jeans and its a little chilly at night, a leather jacket is the best thing to throw on for a night out. I love this one. Here. You can never go wrong an over the knee boot. They go great with jeans, skirts, dresses, really justabout everything. These are a great pair, at a great price. Here. And finally, you can’t go wrong with a leopard print clutch to add a little zing to any outfit. This one is the perfect size and price point. Here. Thanks so much for stopping by my blog.
Dress: Target. What a great dress for a fabulous price Also love this and this. Shoes: Steve Madden. Steamer: E Steamer. I literally could not imagine life without this hand held steamer.
Happy Friday!! I initially had no intention of using these impromptu “photo shoot” pictures for the blog. But with all that has been happening in Houston and South Texas, it really has me out of sorts this week. I was definitely not in the right frame of mind to put on a happy face and shoot some pictures, while so many of my high school friends and countless other families homes have been devastated by Hurricane Harvey. But I did want to share this great LBD before any cooler weather comes your way. In Austin, its HOT, and it’s not showing signs of fall anytime soon. Before leaving for our Mexico family vacation, I happened to swing by Target. I’m so glad I did. I saw this dress and knew it would perfect for a hot, humid night out to dinner. The price of this dress was already fabulous, and now it’s 20% off! After coming back home, I had to go out and purchase the pink one too! here. It’s such an easy dress to throw on, but it will need steaming. I live and die by my hand held steamer. I use it daily at the home and I never travel without it. It literally only takes a few minutes for a wrinkle free look. Thanks again for stopping by my blog. I hope to have some much better quality pics up next week and get back into full swing. Have a safe and happy holiday weekend everyone!
